- Download HP SRAM Card Files
Download the file called dos.exe onto your host PC and copy it to a floppy disk. Next, place the SRAM card into your PCMCIA slot on the laptop and place the floppy disk into the laptop too. Then,using the windows explorer on your laptop, double click the dos.exe file to bring up the self-extracting dialog. Extract the files to D:\ which should be the SRAM card. If you have a CDROM drive at D:, then the SRAM might be at E:\. The windows explorer should show the SRAM card as a removable drive. Finally, place the SRAM into the HP and press Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot. You will need to use the Alt-S function (password=ANEWUSER) to change the rep ID to match the ID number of the inspector.
Enter these lines into the config.sys file on the laptop:
device=c:\windows\system\csmapper.sys
device=c:\windows\system\carddrv.exe /slot=2
