Wengert to Provide Level II Process Control System Integration Services to Rouge Steel of Dearborn, Michigan

Wengert Software Engineering, Inc. has been chosen by Rouge Steel of Dearborn, Michigan to provide software integration services for its level II process control system. This system is responsible for monitoring over 25 Hydrogen Atmosphere Batch Annealing Bases. Wengert will bring the system into Year 2000 compliance and will make adjustments to the communications interface with the level III DEC Alpha optimization system. In addition, Wengert will alter the level II system to provide continuous backup/hot spare functionality. This will allow a second level II system to take over in the event of a failure of the primary computer.
