Wengert to Provide Automatic Ridership Data Collection System for Kennywood Amusement Park


West Mifflin, Pennsylvania

Kennywood has selected Wengert Software Engineering, Inc. to provide a customized, rider tracking system for its Phantom Rollercoaster. The system will give each rider a barcoded tag that they will then present each time they ride the Phantom. The system will track the rider's activity and will forward this information to a web-enabled application. The latter application will be used to offer contests and other patron benefits based upon Phantom ridership. The system will help Kennywood target its marketing effort of the new coaster.
