WSExact Time and Attendance System Goes Online at Steel City Products
McKeesport, Pennsylvania
Wengert Software Engineering, Inc. has recently installed and commissioned its WSExact Time and Attendance system at Steel City Products. WSExact will be used to track employee in and out times for payroll. Employees are required to "punch" in and out both for start of day/end of day and start break/end break. All punches are recorded in a Borland InterBase relational database on a Windows 95 server PC. Data will be exported to an ADP payroll system replacing the former data entry operation required when using the old time cards. WSExact has also been interfaced to the on site telephone/paging system. WSExact will sound a tone through the telephone paging system at various times during the day to notify workers of break periods beginning or ending.
The Intermec model 9560 Transaction Manager was chosen for the time clock device.
